Berlucchi 的美麗大屋和古老的地庫酒窖,令 Ziliani 意識到實行在那裡製作瓶內二次發酵的少年夢想的可行性,Berlucchi 接受了這個挑戰,並於 1961 年出產了 3,000 瓶 Pinot di Franciacorta。

這是一款價格合理的高級意大利氣泡酒,以傳統的香檳瓶內二次發酵方法釀造。入口清新爽口,適合慶節時飲用。柑橘、核果和甜杏仁等味道,都有悠長的香氣作後盾。它以90% chardonnay配搭10% pinot noir,與酒糟浸渣陳年2年。


The handsome mansion, the elegant figure of Berlucchi, and the ancient underground cellars had inspired Ziliani, who had glimpsed the possibility of realising his boyhood dream of producing a bottle-refermented sparkling wine. Berlucchi accepted the challenge, and in 1961 three thousand bottles of Pinot di Franciacorta were corked up.

Guido Berlucchi, descendent of the Conti Lana de’ Terzi, made Pinot del Castello from grapes grown in the Castle of Borgonato vineyard, a white wine that showed instability in the bottle. His friend Alessandro Borghesi recommended a young and energetic oenologist, Franco Ziliani.

The emphasis on primogeniture in Franciacorta was set in 2009 with the debut of Berlucchi ‘61, the Franciacorta whose very name commemorates the birth year of the first Franciacorta.

Maturation:
Assemblage of the cuvée in the spring following harvest. Bottled with a liqueur de tirage of 24 g/l sugar and cultured yeasts.

Tasting Notes:

Soft, dense, foamy mousse, with a long-lasting delicate cordon around the glass, and a long-lingering bead of fine, pin-point bubbles. Straw yellow colour, with greenish highlights.
Aromas are crisp, rich, and elegant, fairly lengthy and with lovely depth. It releases generous fragrances of apple, pear and citrus. On palate, displays an exceptional freshness and zesty acidity, with a velvet texture and fine balance, concluding with appealing notes of citrus.

This is one of the well-priced expressions of high-end (Classic Method) Italian sparkling wines you can find on the market today. The NV Franciacorta '61 Brut is fresh and zesty with a long and festive set of easy-drinking qualities. You get citrus, stone fruit and sweet almond all backed by persistent perlage. The wine represents a blend of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Nero aged on the lees for two years.
