酒莊由Lorentz家族於1836年創立，在阿爾薩斯的中世紀小鎮Bergheim坐擁33公頃土地。他們的DNA裏藏着願景：在Bergheim最好的山坡上出產最優質的葡萄酒。當中包括2個特級園，12.8公頃的Altenberg de Bergheim、1.75公頃的 Kanzlerberg及其他古老的地塊(lieu-dits)。
現時酒莊由第七代的Georges Lorentz掌舵。他意識到當前和未來的環境挑戰，在 2009 年把全部33公頃的葡萄藤轉為有機種植。2012 年開始，他們所有自家葡萄園的出品都獲得Ecocert有機認證。

Maison Gustave Lorentz was founded by the Lorentz family in 1836. It owns 33 hectares of land on the hillsides of the medieval town Bergheim in the heart of the Alsace wine region. Their vision is focused and lodged in the DNA: to produce quality wines from the best slopes in Bergheim. 12.8 hectares of which are classified Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergheim, 1.75 hectares Grand Cru Kanzlerberg and other lieu-dits.
Today, Georges Lorentz has managed the estate, seven generations later. Georges, conscious of the current and future environmental challenges, decided to convert all its property vines (33ha) to organic growing in 2009. Since 2012 vintage, the estate has been certified Organic Agriculture by Ecocert.
