Weingut C. Von Nell-Breuning has been dedicated to the art of wine-growing in the Ruwer Valley since 1670. The estate have produced elegant Riesling, including still wine and sparkling (Sekt).
SCHIEFER Riesling is the entrance of C. von Nell-Breuning dry Riesling wine. The grapes to this wine have all been hand-picked from the monopole vineyard Kaseler Dominikanerberg, where blue slate soil leads to very mineral Riesling wines. In 2019 they switched their operations to biodynamic viticulture and achieve official Demeter class in 2023.
