This whisky is inspired by Phoenix Honey Orchid from JING, the UK’s leading premium tea brand renowned for its single garden teas. Phoenix Honey Orchid is a complex oolong celebrated for its lush dessert wine aromas and exotic fruit notes, qualities that have guided the creation of this single malt.
Predominantly matured in sherry‑seasoned American oak casks, the whisky develops vibrant fruity and floral flavours. These are beautifully balanced by sherry‑seasoned European oak, which imparts roasted richness and a subtle touch of astringency. A final layer of sweetness comes from casks that previously held bourbon, echoing the dessert wine character of the tea that inspires this whisky.
