Located in Saint-Laurent-du-Bois, within Bordeaux’s renowned Entre-Deux-Mers region, Château Baratet stems from a story begun in the 1950s by Antonio and Lucia Da Fré.
In 1984, their son Jean Da Fré officially founded the estate as an early pioneer of organic viticulture. Today, the 40-hectare vineyard sits on sandy clay soils with an iron-rich subsoil, cultivated chemical-free for over 60 years. In 2024, grandson Antoine took the helm, uniting 3 generations of passion to craft approachable, authentic Bordeaux wines.
