Onkel Doktor (博士叔叔)這款葡萄酒是要向Georg Scheu（1879-1949）致敬。他是一位出色的葡萄育種專家，亦是一位葡萄農。他在1916年於Rheinhessen成功把兩種葡萄品種合二為一。
在他的努力之下，Scheurebe誕生了。這新品種最初的名字稱為「88號幼苗」，直至1950年才以博士Scheu的名字來命名。
後來通過DNA的分析，Scheurebe的父母確定為Riesling與Bukettrebe。

Onkel Doktor (Uncle Doctor) tribute to Georg Scheu (1879-1949). The conscientious vine breeder and winemaker, succeeded in 1916 in Alzey, Rheinhessen, to combine the best characteristics of two grape varieties in one.
The Scheurebe was born, with the parents – Riesling and Bukettrebe – were later precisely determined by DNA analysis. It bears the name of its breeder only since 1950 and before that was known as seedling 88.

Tasting Note:
The sparkling white wine cuvée captivates with aromas of citrus, exotic fruits and herbs. The sparkling freshness and fine minerality of the Riesling are perfectly rounded off by some residual sugar and the rich fruit notes of the Scheurebe. Not only a nice aperitif wine, but also goes well with white meat, summer BBQ and dishes with Asian spices.
